REFRAMING PAKISTAN"S CRISES HOLISTICALLY
Ibrahim Khan Jhagra Foundation’s (IKJF) mission is a function of the health, education, and youth crises that face Pakistan today. By addressing the root causes of the crisis, IKJF intends to harness Pakistan’s demographic dividend. Without health or skills, Pakistan's labor force risks becoming a liability instead of an opportunity.
Healthcare crisisBasic Healthcare is Inaccessible Pakistan has more than 13,000 public first-level care clinics but most of them lack basic facilities. |
EDUCATION crisisLearning Outcomes are Low 27M children in school but 4 out of 10 students in rural schools cannot read a story in a local language. |
YOUTH CRISISYouth Unemployment is High Pakistan has the 9th largest labor force in the world but has one of the highest youth unemployment rates at 12%. |
OUR GOALPakistan's crises are linked. We provide access to high-quality healthcare and education to empower future young leaders. |
The Ibrahim Khan Jhagra Foundation provides access to high quality healthcare and education to vulnerable and low-income segment populations across Pakistan. The organization’s mandate is centered on three inter-related big ideas.
PROVIDING AFFORDABLE HEALTHCAREE-CLINICS
Demand for primary and preventive care in cities is neglected with focus on large hospitals. Quacks bridge the gap between urban demand and supply for those who cannot pay. A simple telehealth model for rapid filter clinics can bring down the cost of healthcare by 10x compared to BHUs.

Helping students LEARN at schoolTEACHERS
Existing schools need to work for Pakistan's young population. More brick and mortar buildings are not the solution. Teaching support at public schools can make a massive difference. Schooling need not be disconnected from students' lived experiences.
|
Creating future young LEADERSSCHOLARSHIPS
Pakistan's systemic crises cannot be resolved through policy based solutions. It is only through a future generation of young leaders new economic growth, healthcare innovation, and educational rigor may flourish. Mentorship and scholarships for youth serves to unclock this potential.
